UFA! (That’s the Portuguese expression for fatigue…) I’ve finally finished my studies and Christmas madness have passed. Unlikely most of you I like to start New Year’s resolution earlier and that’s why Christmas day is my chosen day; I’m a Christian after all, so that makes sense.
2010 is going to be packed with exciting little projects and this Blog is definitely one of them. I’m hoping to see you here often and to develop a loving friendship with my readers.
Happy Silly Season Everyone!!!!

If you’ve ever seen Gisele giving an interview you’ll agree that she is a very fun and down-to-earth girl. In this editorial called “The Show” shot by Patrick Demarchelier for Numero mag, you can’t help but want to join the party.

Sama & Haya have been featured several times before in Street Style Blogs.
I absolutely LOVE the way they dress and am a little jealous of their wardrobe. In this picture they mix YSL, American Apparel and vintage. It’s just wonderful…

Summer is not around the corner as I thought. Auckland weather can be very unpredictable and it’s hard to plan an outfit since you never know if it’s going to rain or not. I’m now getting used to carrying an umbrella, which was a very unusual item to have in my handbag while living in Sydney.
Hubby was in Sydney last week and bought me the most adorable shirt dress from Tuchuzy. It’s a Therese Rawsthorne candy pink painter shirt. I can’t wait to wear it, just need to find some interesting pieces to style it with.
Hopefully the weather is going to get nicer in the next couple of weeks and I’ll be able to finally wear my new dress. Will post some pics when I do.

In the 18th century extreme hairstyles were highly fashionable. It’s intricate design was usually high and adorned with decorative objects, ‘fontage’. These super high hairstyles were achieved with the aid of hair pads and pomade made off apples, lard and floral oils.
“The Ladies’ Head-Dress”
Give Chloe a bushel of horsehair and wool
Of paste and pomatum a pound
Ten yards of gay ribbon to deck her sweet scull
And gauze to encompass it round.
Let her gown be tucked up to the hip on each side
Shoes too high for to walk or to jump
And to deck sweet charmer complete for a bride
Let the cork cutter make her a rump
Thus finished in taste while on Chloe you gaze
you may take the dear charmer for life
but never undress her, for out of her stays
You’ll find you have lost half your wife

Australian model Elyse Taylor is probably one of the most popular models in the Southern hemisphere at present. Her beach babe beauty is striking and her body is perfect for those sun tanned editorials in the glossy magazines.
Height: 176 cm
Bust: 86 cm
Waist: 62 cm
Hips: 89 cm

I’ve created Boudoir de la Mode while considering what I’d like to see and read in a fashion blog.
Fashion is a very diverse subject and although many bloggers choose to focus in either Personal Style or Photography, I choose to discuss, share, etc. every aspect of fashion.
If there’s anything in particular you would like to see, please don’t hesitate… email me!

Have you thought about painting your room pink? I confess I have. My bedroom growing up was pink and it was the place I spent most of my time while at home so probably this is one of those things I dream about because it takes me back to those days…
Maybe Ines de la Fressange also had a pink bedroom growing up and wanted to go back in time!

Of course these wonderful pictures are from
Selby, who else would get access to such a fabulous place!

The past four weeks… have been very emotionally exhausting, scary, sad, brutal, surreal (in a bad way!) BUT today I woke up so thirsty… FOR LIFE!!!!
Three seasons of Sex and the City in a row and a redbull later I feel like I’m very alive today, and who knows about tomorrow, and I should be doing absolutely everything in my power to enjoy every single second of it. Now I have another list, a list of things I really WANT to do even though I don’t have to.
Knightcat pointed me towards Yetti & Furby where they customize beautiful vintage to make it into delightful pieces. I’m not the biggest vintage fan, I confess, but I do have some pieces which I wear with pride and absolutely love, but the idea of customizing the pieces makes vintage shopping a lot more appealing to me. So…. in my list # 15 GO VINTAGE SHOPPING FOR PIECES THAT CAN BE CUSTOMIZED INTO GORGEOUS PIECE OF CLOTHING.
Here are some lovely examples from Yetti & Furby

Californian artist Danny Roberts of Igor+Andre have been doing portraits of icons of the blog world for some time now and they are absolutely beautiful… although I don’t post photos of my personal style, I can’t help but wish that he’ll one day pick me!
You can purchase his amazing work too from his Etsy store and I’m planning to purchase this one.
